From the first day I saw a photo of your little toothless baby smile, I have loved you from the depth of my being. All of your journey as my beloved daughter, I have carried you and sheltered you from a world that hardly seemed worthy of a luminous presence as glorious and kind-hearted as you. But as much as I have treasured you in my life, I have always known that for your sake I will, at some time, have to feel the pain and longing for you that letting go of such a deep attachment brings. I take a step back from holding you in the shelter of my arms. Thank you for having had the wisdom to know that it was time for you and I to allow the winds of change to bring some space between us. I admire your courage and embrace and support your choices. I trust your wisdom and intuitive knowing and I love you eternally.
