QUESTION: What can I personally take to boost my resistance to flu, viruses and colds?
ANSWER:Get a large quantity of green tea. Soak two teabags in hot water three times a day and gargle with the tea. Do this even when you wake up to visit the rest room at night. If you put two teabags in your cold water bottle, you can drink it without getting the caffeine (caffeine comes out of the tea only when exposed to heat — cold water doesn’t draw out the caffeine from the leaves). This advice was given to me from a virologist in Idaho. He further explained that most systemic infections spread throughout the body but originate in the sinuses and back of the throat, so gargle often.
