Barbara Kathryn & Mieke: yes, this kind of “tree” hydrangeas is quite popular in USA & Canada, at least in the north-east. Apparently rare or not seen in Europe?

Lovely bush in tree form. Besides the elegance it will keep the lower blooms from trailing on the ground on rainy days. I didn’t know hydrangeas could be grafted onto a trunk (or however it’s done) like some rosebushes are. The pastel tones are lovely in that setting.

Love the mixed colours, and that they have trained it which I have’nt seen before – to be an upright version as opposed to the usual standard ones (maybe one can now buy them like that now). Thank you for sharing.
