During the six months that her mother was in the hospital, Almine’s daughter found comfort in the relationship she has with her dog, Mr Bartleby. This video was produced by her with the explanation: “I want to remember him in case anything happens to him too”.

I have never met your Mother in person, just in my heart, reading and listening to so much she has given to Mankind – and since the end of last Year, she is enduring such great sacrifice — and you with her, Bartleby on your side. All who have lived and live with dogs, know how they feel and share our pain and sorrow. Many times, when my Madam Liza ( Ma = dog, dam = back in thai language ) seemed so very sick, I read the spell of Resurrection and pleaded for the Angels to come.. and every time they came –remember when you worry…. For your so very special mother a little poem came to me after I learned what happened, words which just came. They are not mine. Here is a copy:
To ALMINE
You have looked into the Devil’s eyes
You have seen his army on the march .
You have dared to fight
You have won the battle for mankind
At a high personal price.
The war, however, is not yet over,
Though in its final stage.
The devils might is broken
The Door now is open
