I am asking: how do we distinguish whom and what we shall support, and to whom and when to say no? I have wondered about “spiritually advanced” friends who ask for financial support, then spend it on expensive hair treatments and luxury items, which I could afford but never do as I see these as unnecessary. I’ve learned to distinguish whom to give to and whom to say no to, yet I’m still learning. I realized that giving to some only supported their ego and selfishness, contributing to their freeloading and exploitative attitude as high class beggars.
The Seer:
Because one can only see in others what you have in yourself, it is extremely challenging for masters to detect certain vices like deception, greed, exploitation, etc. when they do not have these qualities in themselves. The Seer has been careful in her self-examination to find whether previous times of being deceived by others due to her overestimating them is the result of the folly of seeking sameness (something that she then works to overcome), or the result of not recognizing what is not within oneself. If the past successful attempts at deceiving her stems from the latter reason, she has simply written it off without resentment as wisdom gained. She then moved beyond the experience knowing without a shadow of a doubt, that to defraud another without getting defrauded yourself is an impossibility. Life always balances the scales by restoring what is lost and taking away what is unfairly gained.
Wonderful.
