Question: Since our family has been primarily self-isolating at home, there is a lot more friction between the adult members of the family who have been used to living independently and find being cooped up together, very challenging. Any suggestions?
The Seer: In our family, we have, what we call, rules of engagement; rules to assist our interactions go smoothly. Here are some we live by:
1. Get lots of sleep. It improves memory and helps gain clarity and patience.

2. Take time to decompress when you get home — life amongst the masses isn’t an easy job my Loves.

3. Inside every grown-up, still lives a little child. Be gentle with each other.

4. Each family member is a unique gift. Express praise and gratitude. We’re all trying our best each day.

These are a few examples of rules to help you get on — make up your own as needed, and express lots of praise for things well done.

We do the Praise thing too. I praise the owl who faithfully greets me in the gloaming, before dawn and after sunset and on into the night, each time I go out the door. My husband praises our cats for their intelligence…in their adoration of him 😉. And he takes certain logs off of his carefully stacked pile so that their ant inhabitants can disembark outdoors. And we both walk carefully across the terrace and through the courtyard when the rain brings down more yellow leaves, lest we trod upon a slow salamander. Nature is our most praiseworthy companion 🍃🍂
Such a joy to read😊🌹🌿🍃🐦✨
