The unmistakable luminosity of one who lives victoriously, true to the guidance of a passionate heart and the unwavering faith in the promptings of inspiration, is like a beacon for those who are tempest tossed by the vicissitudes of an undisciplined life. The hostility you encounter is that of the flock of birds squabbling over scraps of food while the mighty eagle soars above.
This is exactly why many years ago I cut all ties with such dysfunctional people. Best decision ever. People can be really manipulative and cunning and try to hide how they try to diminsh another, they only end up diminshing themselves. Indeed birds squabbling over scraps and pretending to be something they are not.
