We loved our few months driving our old camper up the coast beyond Newport. We had friends with horses and camped near the beach at a place with little corals at each site. Our young daughter loved cantering along the shore! Another time we rented horses by the beach, farther south I think, from an old-timer who walked bowlegged just like their more numerous pappies I often encountered in my Western childhood. And once we drove a short way into Newport, just to the first grocery store and ice cream parlour 🍨 We weren’t interested in cities. Although Almine may have lived there then, or perhaps was still living in England, we didn’t have internet or a mobile. This was 1989. We have not been back since but are blessed to have a cousin who paints beautiful Oregon seascapes! One can catch a whif of the sea! Almine and Ronni are remarkable photographers!
