You’ve said* that the unfolding plans for WW3** were successfully defused, and yet a headline today reads: Russia deploys nuclear-capable missiles in Kaliningrad as tensions between US and Russia become “more dangerous than Cold War”.

The future is fluid and can change, but there is currently no intention in either side to wage war against each other. What I do see is an image of two dogs baring their teeth at each other in a show of strength. America recently had a show of strength in South Korea. Now Russia does it as well. It is also a message. We won’t interfere with you in North Korea, if you don’t interfere with what we do in Eastern Europe. (America was active in opposing Russia entering into Ukraine.)
It seems this is also an attempt to sway the American voters in the upcoming election.
