The Seer’s Thought for the Day
There are four foundational stages of development of the evolution of the awareness of man. They manifest in the evolution of societies, demographic groups, interpersonal relationships, and are more thoroughly discussed in the book Journey to the Heart of God.
As life progresses beyond these four basic developmental stages, it repeats the four initial stages of development, but in a sublimated way. For instance: the most basic, relatively undeveloped, stage of existence is tribalism; the search for sameness. The driving force behind life at this stage is the desire to belong. Belonging to a tribe of any kind, promises support and safety in numbers in exchange for conformity.
As individuated life progresses beyond the control of the tribe, the search for sameness sublimates to the recognition of oneness; the growth impeding desire for conformity becomes the growth promoting recognition of inclusiveness. Inclusiveness values and respects diversity, not as a political statement, but as an acknowledgement of the indivisible oneness of life.
