The Body Parts as Dream Symbols
Anonymous:
I have a question on how you use pages 18 and 19 of the Dream Dictionary. These are the pages that have the hand and foot drawings with the meaning associated to each finger and toe. These are Mayan glyphs and I believe the rest of the dream symbology is based on Toltec language. What is the significance of using the different languages (if any)? Can you give an example of how to use the Mayan glyphs (ie. if you had a chronic issue with your left thumb)?
The Seer:
The reason that the Ancient Mayan language is being used, is that the Ancient Mayans were the first to associate the body language of toes and fingers as messages from “the great spirit that moves through all things“. The respective glyphs of the fingers and toes are interpreted as abstract concepts. Ancient mystics used concepts instead of literal associations, so that the message they are trying to give through association, can endure through the ages. The physical environment may change over centuries, but abstract concepts do not.
Issues with the left thumb, for example, indicate chronic issues with relationships of one or more individuals in your environment.
