I’ve been perplexed by the idea of “reference points”. It has seemed to be an abstract concept. I thought of it more as knowledge, and I’ve worked to release what I think I know and hold open space around what is and what isn’t. Other than that, I wasn’t sure how “reference points” applied to me; because releasing my hold on “the truth” didn’t, necessarily, cause disruptions for me. I just realized that I watch TV in the evening because that behavior helps me to track time. I rarely know what day and date it is and my kids tease me because my calendars are often on the wrong month. At this moment, I understand the concept of “reference points” and I look forward to learning more about those we will create.

I imagine they’re needed so we can actually function in the exploration of individuated life as was intended, otherwise we would just be floating around in vastness unable to play with anything specific!
