Judgments of the Mind
1. Arrogance versus Humility
Arrogance occurs when we feel we have the power and perception to master the level of life we are experiencing. When life bumps us to the next level, we feel out of depth and humble. But when we embrace change, it comes as an effortless flow rather that the bumps that occur when we arrogantly think we know. Then wonderment at the continual revelations of the unfolding miracles of life replaces the up and down movement of arrogance alternating with humility. When humility is defined as the recognition of life as a never-ending mystery, it has no opposite. The known is like a snapshot of an instant that depicted a small part of the river, never to repeat again.

Thank you Almine for stating this so clearly. I have always known not one leaf can move without the will of God and we are all only instruments in the hands of the Almighty God. My prayer is to be a perfect instrument, a perfect tool in his hands. My mantra is I do no exist only God exists. Whatever I succeed in doing, only God in me deserves the praise, I of myself can do nothing.

I have been in this place of arrogance so many times in life and have quickly been knocked into the next level where I start all over as a kindergartener. I love that you have identified the process for us so we can have a good laugh about it all. Thank you from my heart! 😀
